True Colors

Sgt. Quaterius Johnson and Spc. Robert Daugherty re-enlisted in the United States Army during a ceremony conducted at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, January 22. Both Johnson and Daugherty are members of Army Forces Batallion, Joint Task Force-Bravo.

Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo attended a memorial breakfast in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at the Soto Cano Air Base Dining Facility, Jan. 21, 2013. Mr. James Watson, Director of Mission, U.S. Agency for International Development, served as the guest speaker for the event and discussed Dr. King’s legacy and his lasting impact. Fire muster builds U.S., Honduras relationship

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Thirty members of local Honduran fire brigades and volunteer fire departments participated in a fire muster hosted by the firefighters of Joint Task Force Bravo's 612th Air Base Squadron here, Jan. 16. 612th Air Base Squadron manages arrival of historic aircraft

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — The 612th Air Base Squadron Airfield Operations has been busy this month planning the arrival of a DC-3 from the Naval Oceanographic office. The DC-3 is a propeller-driven aircraft, the majority of which were produced during the 1930s and 1940s.  The airplane will be used to conduct laser mapping operations off the coast of Honduras. Several members of Joint Task Force-Bravo are attempting to qualify for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge this week. In order to qualify for the badge, service members must pass both a fitness test and a military training test, administered by a German Sergeant Major. Today, JTF-Bravo members completed an 11x10 meter spring test, a chin-up (flexed arm hang) test, a 1,000 meter run and a 100 meter swim in uniform. The German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (German: Abzeichen für Leistungen im Truppendienst) is a decoration of the Bundeswehr, the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany. The decoration can be awarded to all German Soldiers. Allied Soldiers may also be awarded the badge. Any rank may be awarded and wear the badge. In the United States Military the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge is one of the few approved foreign awards, and it is one of the most sought after awards to achieve.
