Joint Task Force-Bravo MEDEVAC saves life of Honduran infant

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element (MEDEL) and 1-228th Aviation Regiment conducted a successful medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) to save the life of a six-week old infant in the Department of Gracias a Dios, Honduras, Dec. 3, 2013.MEDEL was conducting a Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE), providing medical care to residents

U.S. Army Col. Thomas Boccardi, Joint Task Force-Bravo Commander, and Julie Schechter Torres, Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy, met with Lt. Col. Santos Colindres, Deputy Commander of the Honduran 5th Infantry Battalion, at Mocoron, Honduras, Dec. 3, 2013. The leaders discussed several issues affecting the Gracias a Dios region of Honduras and how the U.S. and Honduras can work together to overcome challenges. Boccardi and Torres then departed Mocoron to observe Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element (MEDEL) performing a Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE) in the remote village of Auka. SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Joint Task Force - Bravo's Medical Element (MEDEL) partnered with the Honduran Ministry of Health and the Honduran Military to provide medical care to more than 1,200 people over two days in Auka and Tipimuna, two remote villages in the Gracias a Dios region of Honduras during a Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE), Dec. 2-5."These

Joint Task Force-Bravo volunteers wrap holiday gifts for local orphans

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — More than 100 members of Joint Task Force-Bravo spent Saturday evening participating in a holiday gift wrapping party here, Nov. 30. Joint Task Force-Bravo celebrates Thanksgiving holiday

Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo participated in the annual "Turkey Bowl" flag football game. The game pits Airmen against Soldiers in a friendly competition between Army and Air Force. This year, the Air Force took home the Turkey Bowl trophy, defeating the Army in overtime by a score of 25-19.
