U.S. Army Col. Thomas Boccardi, Joint Task Force-Bravo Commander, and Julie Schechter Torres, Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy, met with Lt. Col. Santos Colindres, Deputy Commander of the Honduran 5th Infantry Battalion, at Mocoron, Honduras, Dec. 3, 2013. The leaders discussed several issues affecting the Gracias a Dios region of Honduras and how the U.S. and Honduras can work together to overcome challenges. Boccardi and Torres then departed Mocoron to observe Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element (MEDEL) performing a Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE) in the remote village of Auka. Joint Task Force-Bravo brings medical care to more than 1,200 in remote Honduran villages

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Joint Task Force - Bravo's Medical Element (MEDEL) partnered with the Honduran Ministry of Health

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. David Butcher, a flight engineer assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo's 1-228th Aviation Regiment, takes in the view from the ramp of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter as it cruises over the Honduran landscape, Dec. 2, 2013. The Chinook was transporting personnel and equipment to Mocoron in the Department of Gracias a Dios, Honduras, as part of a Culminating Exercise (CULEX) conducted by Joint Task Force-Bravo, Dec. 2-5, 2013. During the CULEX, Joint Task Force-Bravo conducted numerous exercise and real world operations. Joint Task Force-Bravo volunteers wrap holiday gifts for local orphans

Joint Task Force-Bravo celebrates Thanksgiving holiday

Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo participated in the annual "Turkey Bowl" flag football game. The game pits Airmen against Soldiers in a friendly competition between Army and Air Force. This year, the Air Force took home the Turkey Bowl trophy, defeating the Army in overtime by a score of 25-19. Joint Task Force-Bravo members compete in 2013 Turkey Bowl

The officers of Joint Task Force-Bravo participated in a special physical training session, during which they competed in an "Urban Hero Challenge" at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Nov. 22, 2013. The officers divided into teams and competed in events that included pushing and pulling a Humvee, tire-flipping, a fire-hose carry relay race, along with several others. The winning team of the competition earned the right to hoist Joint Task Force-Bravo Commander Thomas Boccardi's "PT Championship Belt." The special PT session served to enhance camaraderie, teamwork, and esprit de corps among the JTF-Bravo officers, as well as to promote overall physical fitness. (U.S. Air Force photos by Capt.
