Joint Task Force-Bravo provides surgical care in Honduras

Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo took the Combat Water Survival Test (CWST) at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Feb. 24, 2014. The testing was conducted in the base swimming pool, and required participants to accomplish tasks including swimming 50 meters in uniform and boots, and treading water and floating for five minutes. JTF-Bravo members also trained on helocasting techniques as well as procedures for recovery from water via hoist. A healing touch

More than 19,000 pounds of donated medical supplies and equipment were picked up from Soto Cano Air Base by the non-governmental organization "Helping Hands for Honduras," working in conjunction with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Feb. 19, 2014. U.S. Army Col. Thomas Boccardi, Commander, Joint Task Force-Bravo, presents a "Kick for Nick" soccer ball to Ruben Raudales, Governor of the Department of La Paz, Honduras, Feb. 19, 2014. Boccardi spent the day meeting with leaders of several communities surrounding Soto Cano Air Base. During the meetings, Boccardi presented each leader with more than twenty soccer balls and a collection of soccer jerseys donated from the "Kick for Nick" non-profit organization, which collects and distributes soccer balls for underprivileged children in honor of fallen U.S. Army Pvt. Nick Madaras, who was killed in Iraq in 2006.

Alejandro Arellano during a promotion and awards ceremony conducted on the flightline at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Feb. 13, 2014. Kelly pinned new rank on six Task Force members who were promoted during the ceremony and presented medals, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal, to 18 members.
