A Honduran woman and her child receives vitamins and medicine from a Honduran military service member during a Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE) May 8. The MEDRETE was conducted by Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element, with support from the JTF-Bravo Joint Security Forces and Army Forces Battalion, in partnership with the Honduran Ministry of Health and the Honduran military to provide medical care to more than 720 people in the remote village of La Arena in the Copan region of Honduras. The team worked together to provide preventative medicine to the villagers, including classes on hygiene, preventative dental care and nutrition. Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element provides care to over 720 Honduran villagers

Joint Task Force-Bravo and Honduran Armed Forces servicemembers celebrated the bi-annual Camaraderie Day with sports, fellowship, and friendly competition, May 2, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The servicemembers competed in men and women's 4x200 relay, volleyball, bicycle relay, and soccer. U.S. and Honduran servicemembers celebrate Camaraderie Day

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — A morning filled with sports, fellowship, and friendly competition celebrated the bi-annual

Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Medical Element hosted the American Society of Surgeon’s Advanced Trauma Life Support Team to train and certify members of the Honduran chapter here, April 25-30, 2014. This training allows Honduras to train its future physicians in a standard of care well known around the world, making it the 70th country in the world to have its own chapter.

JTF-Bravo Medical Element provides ATLS instructor course to Honduran doctors

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element hosted the American Society of Surgeon's Advanced Trauma

Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element (MEDEL), with support from all Joint Task Force-Bravo commands, hosted the Soto Cano Air Base Senior Health Engagement providing valuable health and wellness information, a base tour, and some entertainment to 133 Honduran senior citizens from Cane, La Paz, April 30. The group received health screenings and patient education related to blood pressure, blood sugar, exercise, muscle strength, balance and good oral hygiene as they age. After the screenings and classes were finished, the group of senior citizens was able to turn back the hands of time and act young again as they were treated to dance lessons and the opportunity to dance with members from Joint Task Force-Bravo. U. S. Army Capt. More than 150 Joint Task Force service members kicked off Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) activities with a five kilometer run through Soto Cano Air Base April 17, 2014. The Easter/Sexual Harassment Assault Response & Prevention (SHARP) 5k Fun Run/Walk began a month-long dedication to addressing and working to prevent sexual assault and harassment in the military. Each year, the month of April is dedicated to heightening awareness of the crime, as well as informing the community of services offered and encouraging victims to use the resources. (Photo by U. S. Joint Task Force-Bravo raises awareness for sexual assault with 5K event

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — More than 150 Joint Task Force service members kicked off Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)

More than 130 members of Joint Task Force-Bravo completed a 6.2 mile round trip hike to deliver more than 3,000 pounds of food and supplies to families in need in the mountain village, April 12, 2014. During the more than three mile trek up the mountain, Task Force members made an elevation gain of 1,600 feet while carrying more than 25 pounds of supplies each. Twenty-one Joint Task Force-Bravo service members filled trenches, leveled ground and shoveled dirt at the Ajuterique Housing Project helping several Honduran families get closer to moving into their new homes April 5, 2014. In conjunction with the Honduras Habit for Humanity, Siguatepeque region, the Municipality of Ajuterique and the Civil-Military Operations office at JTF-Bravo, these service members volunteered their labor to assist in the building of homes in the Ajuterique community. The two-phased project includes building 38 two-bedroom, one-bath homes for low-income Hondurans who can afford to construct a home but doesn't own the land to build on. (Photo by U. S. U. S. Special Forces; Honduran paratroopers exchange wings after training jump

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — U.S. and Honduran service members exchanged jump wings after performing joint airborne operations

Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Medical Element (MEDEL) make a connection with the Hogar de Ninos, Nazareth boys orphanage on a Saturday morning. The boys receive much needed supplies such as clothing, toiletries, and school items provided by volunteers from MEDEL. The service members played soccer, colored pictures, and even took “selfies” with the joyous children.
