JTF-Bravo completes PANAMAX-Alpha Phase 0 2025

Fifty-one Soldiers, Airmen and Marines from Joint Task Force-Bravo conducted PANAMAX-Alpha Phase 0 in Panama, from March 24 to April 4, 2025. PANAMAX-Alpha is a bilateral exercise between the United States and Panama conducted by JTF-Bravo and supported by the U.S. Southern Command. The exercise allows both countries to work alongside each other to strengthen relationships in security, humanitarian and logistical fields.

U.S., Belize prepare for Agile Bear 2025

Sixteen service members from Joint Task Force-Bravo, the 612th Air Operations Center, the 563rd Rescue Group, and a Marine Corps detachment from Fort Moore, Georgia, are in Belize City to finalize planning for Agile Bear 2025 with representatives from the Belize Defence Force and other Belizean civilian and military agencies.

Like father, like daughter: Continuing the Soto Cano legacy

For some service members joining the same branch as their parent may not be uncommon, but how many can say they served in the same branch, same base and same squadron as their parent? Well – U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Karla Cartagena, the non-commissioned officer in charge of airfield management operations and training with the 612th Air Base Squadron, is one of the few that can say that. Shortly before she arrived at Soto Cano Air Base in November 2024, received orders to be stationed here for a short tour.

JTF-Bravo medical exercise treats 620 Costa Ricans

Seventeen Joint Task Force-Bravo members assigned to the 349th Medical Detachment traveled to Pejibaye, Costa Rica, to team up with 46 Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social members to conduct a Medical Readiness Training Exercise and provided medical care to 620 people between February 25-27, 2025. MEDRETEs are regularly occurring missions conducted by JTF-Bravo in many locations within the Central America region. While conducting these missions, community members receive several types of care depending on their needs such as; preventative medicine, being seen by medical providers, pharmacy and dental.

126 members from Joint Task Force-Bravo participated in the 100th Chapel Hike, delivering food and essential items to 80 families in need Feb. 22 in El Llano de la Puerta, Comayagua, Honduras.

JTF-Bravo unveils new Combined Joint Operation Center

Joint Task Force-Bravo unveiled their new Combined Joint Operation Center in conjunction with a tabletop exercise where they worked with members from the Honduran air force, army, firefighters, Comisión Permanente de Contingencias, Forest Conservation Institute, Environmental Management Unit, and Friends of La Tigra Foundation, February 19, 2025. The CJOC was created to better streamline and facilitate communication between JTF-Bravo leaders and local agency leaders when a crisis arises.
