JTF-Bravo commander visits Civil Affairs Teams and Regional Partners in Guatemala

Soto Cano Air Base hosts second MEIR course of the year

This month, the U.S. Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute partnered with medical personnel, first responders, the Honduran Red Cross and the Honduran Permanent Contingency Commission to return to Soto Cano to teach the MEIR course again, this time it was concluded with a base-wide exercise.

U.S. Military Health Team will visit Guatemala in August

The 2022 Health Engagements Assistance Response Team (HEART 22) will visit hospitals in Guatemala City and Quetzaltenango in mid-August 2022. HEART 22 is a team of U.S. Army and Air Force medical and support personnel assigned to the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). Approximately 25 members will travel to Guatemala.

U.S. Defense Department Partners with Belizean Surgeons for Medical Missions in Belize

A U.S. military surgical team with United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Joint Task Force (JTF)-Bravo based out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, will conduct a humanitarian surgical mission in Dangriga and Belmopan from August 15-27. This joint effort by U.S. Armed Forces medical professionals and the Belizean government is part of SOUTHCOM’s Global Health Engagements initiative.
