1-228th Aviation Regiment conducts air assault training

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, Soldiers mobilized and generated seven UH-60 Blackhawks during an air assault training exercise near the Northern coast of Honduras between Dec. 6 and 7.

The cargo was part of a Denton Program delivery that delivered approximately 31,000 pounds of donated commodities including agricultural equipment, educational supplies, food and medical supplies.

McConnell AFB teams with JTF-Bravo for Denton Program Delivery

This municipality meeting recognized the outgoing and incoming JTF-Bravo civil affairs teams, and offered a chance for JTF-Bravo members to connect with local leaders for future humanitarian aid projects.

JTF-Bravo members connect with Honduran officials

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo's Preventative Medicine and Veterinary teams met with Honduran mayors near Lake Yojoa, Honduras, Nov. 30, 2023.

Joint Task Force-Bravo, U.S. Southern Command and the Honduras Ministries of Education and Agriculture partnered to dontate $25,000 in construction materials to expand the school's cafeteria for approximately 300 low-income students receiving specialized technical education.

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Joint Task Force-Bravo donated six mosquito fumigators to the Honduran Ministry of Health in Comayagua, Nov. 27, 2023.

The U.S. SOUTHCOM command visit allowed the senior leaders to recognize the accomplishments of Joint Task Force-Bravo, and to celebrate the holidays with deployed personnel.

U.S. Southern Command Leadership visits Soto Cano Air Base

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Gen. Laura Richardson, U.S. Southern Command commander, and Sgt. Maj. Rafael Rodriguez, U.S. SOUTHCOM's Senior Enlisted Leader, visited Soto Cano Air Base to recognize the accomplishments of service members over the past year, and celebrate Thanksgiving with deployed members, Nov. 22, 2023.

These All-Hands offered service members an opportunity to engage with senior leaders and address challenges and opportunitites they have faced while stationed in Honduras.

JTF-Bravo command team hosts All-Hands

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Col. James Wiese, JTF-Bravo commander, & Command Sgt. Maj. Nicholas Ford, JTF-Bravo senior enlisted leader, met with members of the 612th Air Base Squadron, 1-228th Aviation Regiment, the task force's J-Staff & ARFOR between Nov. 9 and 17, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.

This exercise validate assigned and tenant units' abilities to respond to crises on base and off base quicky and effectively.

JTF-Bravo showcases MASCAL Expertise

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Joint Task Force-Bravo Soldiers, Airmen and Marines participated in a Mass Casualty exercise that validated the team's ability to track respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies on base and off base, Nov. 16, 2023.

The training further built confidence between the maintainers and aviators supporting U.S. Southern Command, and highlights one of JTF-Bravo's means of aerial recovery of inoperative and lightly and heavily damaged helicopters using medium-lift and heavy-lift helicopters as the recovery vehicles.
