JTF-Bravo Aircraft Support U.S.-Panama Effort to Strengthen Regional Security in Jungle Training

Two U.S. Army HH-60 and one UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters assigned to the 1st Battalion 228th Aviation Regiment, Joint Task Force-Bravo, depart Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, March 8, 2026, to provide dedicated medical evacuation coverage throughout the Jungle Operations Training Course-Panama at Base Aeronaval Cristobal Colon, Panama. These activities demonstrate the enduring partnership between the U.S. and Panama working shoulder-to-shoulder strengthening regional security.

Lt. Gen. Stephen Smith visits Joint Task Force-Bravo

U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Stephen Smith, U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Command Deputy Commanding General, visits with senior leaders and service members at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Feb. 11 - 12, 2026. During the two-day visit, he met with Charge d’Affaires Colleen A. Hoey, Joint Task Force-Bravo Commander U.S. Army Col. Robert Snyder III, and Army Support Activity Commander U.S. Army Brian Astwood to learn about current operations and garrison activities.

Joint Task Force-Bravo 1-228 Aviation Regiment participates in Ilopango Air Show 2026

At the invitation of our regional partners, our aviation units participate in air shows to foster positive relations, strengthen regional partnerships and capabilities, and showcase our operational assets. Over the two day event, attendees met the crew, took photos, and experienced the aircraft up close, including the pilot and troop seats.

CAT 4361, U.S Southern Command Humanitarian Assistance Program, and Guatemala Partner to Provide Medical Care in Puerto San Jose

Civil Affairs Team 4361, assigned to Army Forces Battalion, Joint Task Force-Bravo, alongside U.S. Southern Command’s Humanitarian Assistance Program, partnered with the Guatemalan Department of Health of Escuintla to bring vital medical services and approximately $12,000 worth of medications and supplies to communities in Puerto San Jose, Guatemala, Jan. 29-30, 2026.

CAT 4361 and U.S SOUTHCOM Humanitarian Assistance Program Donated Excess Property & Equipment in Esquipulas, Guatemala

Civil Affairs Team 4361, assigned to Army Forces Battalion, Joint Task Force-Bravo, and the U.S. Southern Command Humanitarian Assistance Program partnered with the Guatemalan Ministry of Health to donate excess medical equipment valued at more than $250,000 to the city of Esquipulas, Guatemala, Jan. 28, 2026.

CAT 4361, el Programa de Asistencia Humanitaria del Comando Sur de los EE. UU. y Guatemala se Asocian para Brindar Atención Médica en Puerto San José

El Equipo de Asuntos Civiles 4361, asignado al Batallón de Fuerzas del Ejército, Fuerza de Tarea Conjunta-Bravo, junto con el Programa de Asistencia Humanitaria del Comando Sur de los Estados Unidos, se asoció con el Departamento de Salud de Guatemala en Escuintla para llevar servicios médicos vitales y aproximadamente 12,000 dólares en medicamentos e insumos a las comunidades de Puerto San José, Guatemala, los días 29 y 30 de enero de 2026.

JTF-Bravo Aircraft Support U.S.– Panama Effort to Strengthen Interoperability in Jungle Training

Aircrews with the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, Joint Task Force-Bravo, departed Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Jan. 26, 2026, to provide dedicated medical evacuation coverage throughout the Combined Jungle Operations Training Course at Base Aeronaval Cristobal Colon, Panama. Under the direction of U.S. Southern Command, JTF-Bravo is supporting a combined U.S.-Panamanian effort to enhance bilateral relationships and interoperability, expanding the nations’ long-standing strategic security partnership.
