This was the first time the Honduran military hosted and led a RoC drill for a CARAVANA mission, demonstrating an increase in effectiveness due to an expansion of Honduran assets and capabilities. During the RoC drill, one Honduran official highlighted recent data showing a marked decrease of Transnational Criminal Organization freedom of maneuver in northeastern Honduras, attributing it to the continued presence of Honduran security and interdiction teams enabled by Operation CARAVANA. CARAVANA is the name given to the recurring operation whereby Joint Task Force-Bravo provides the Honduran military with airlift support to give Honduran troops freedom of movement and access to outposts in the Gracias a Dios, Colón and Olancho departments to disrupt and deter illicit trafficking of drugs, weapons and money. JTF-Bravo MEDEL completes pediatric dental operations in Honduran capital

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — The Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element from Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, supported U.S. Army

US, Honduran militaries connect, compete during Camaraderie Day

A sign welcomes the 158 U.S. service members and civilians from Joint Task Force-Bravo to Montaña La Oki, a small village located in the mountains east of Comayagua, Honduras, where 172 families awaited the arrival of the participants of Chapel Hike 67 and the 3,000 pounds of food they carried 3.4 miles up the mountain April 30, 2016. In addition to the ton-and-a-half of food, which was packed into 150 bags containing 20 pounds apiece by volunteers two nights prior to the trek, many hikers brought their own additional treats and toys to give to the dozens of children they met at the top of the mountain, which was 4,406 feet above sea level. Chapel Hikes are designed to provide a practical way for JTF-Bravo members to engage and partner with local communities to provide support to surrounding villages in need of food and supplies.
