Honduran providers, MEDEL support partnership engagement with Honduran police

SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras — Joint Task Force-Bravo's Medical Element partnered with Honduran officials to provide medical care near Honduras’s second-largest city, San Pedro Sula, during a medical civic action program mission, Feb. 18.

MEDRETE mission supports health efforts in Corinto

CORINTO, Cortes — Thirty-three personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Medical Element, Joint Security Forces and Army Forces Battalion participated in a two-day Medical Readiness Training Exercise here, Feb. 16 through 17, providing service for 747 patients.

After a recent post-wide competition among six servicemembers, an Army specialist and a staff sergeant were selected as the JTF-Bravo Soldier and Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter for the second quarter in fiscal year 2017. Army Spc. Aaron Vinson, Military Police Working Dog handler, represents the Army as the named junior Soldier of the 2nd Quarter for JTF-Bravo. Vinson enlisted in the Army in 2002 and is a native of Cookeville, Tenn. Army Staff Sgt. Otis Bostic, Supply NCO, represents the Army as the named NCO of the 2nd Quarter for JTF-Bravo. Bostic is a native of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Honduran Air Force and Joint Task Force-Bravo’s soccer teams came together for a friendly game here, Feb. 10, with Honduras coming out victorious, 1-0. The game drew a large crowd from the base community. The crowd, the music, the excitement of the game and liveliness of the spectators were notable.

Honduran, U.S. partnership provides medical care for underserved village

LA PAZ, Honduras — Personnel from Honduran Ministry of Health representatives, Honduran military personnel, members of Joint Task Force – Bravo and the U.S. Agency for International Development, partnered to provide basic medical services to the population of Estancia during a medical readiness exercise from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1.

JTF-Bravo hikes for a good cause

COMAYAGUA, Honduras — Approximately 180 personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo participated in a four-mile round-trip hike to the village of El Paraiso on Saturday, Feb. 4, to deliver food and supplies to the struggling Honduran community. These hikes are a part of the Command Master Religious Program that executes events to provide relief to areas in the underdeveloped Comayagua Valley that surrounds Soto Cano Air Base.

JSF prepares for Medical Evacuations

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — The 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment conducted a joint Medical Evacuation training with Joint Security Forces at Soto Cano Air Base, Jan. 17 - 18, to increase readiness and knowledge in preparation for medical emergencies.
