Partnership and camaraderie, the key to fighting fires in Central America

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Thirty four firefighters from all across Central America came together here, from April 24 – 28, to participate in the Central America Sharing Mutual Operational Knowledge and Experiences exercise, also known as CENTAM SMOKE, and train in firefighting techniques with their U.S. counterparts from Joint Task Force-Bravo’s 612th Air Base Squadron Fire Department.

More than 190 members of Joint Task Force-Bravo hiked approximately 3.6 miles round-trip to the village of San Jerónimo, Comayagua, Honduras, Apr. 29, 2017. Members carried more than 5025 lbs of food and supplies, 24 soccer balls and 3 piñatas to the people of San Jerónimo. Chapel hikes have been occurring since 2003, with the JTF-Bravo Chapel sponsoring an average of six every year. The hikes are designed to provide a practical way for JTF-Bravo members to engage and partner with local communities to provide support to surrounding villages in need of food and supplies. JTF-Bravo hikes over 5000 pounds of food and supplies to San Jerónimo, Comayagua, Honduras

MEDRETE and MPE missions support medical care in Honduras

COLÓN, Honduras — Thirty-four personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Medical Element, along with Joint Security Forces (JSF) and Joint Support Battalion (JSB), participated in a two-day Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE) and a Military Partnership Engagement with the Honduran Armed Forces April 20-22, providing basic medical care for more than 1,500 patients.

La Paz, Comayagua Police force receives training

COMAYAGUA, Honduras — To further strengthen the knowledge of the local police forces, 115 members of the National Police force Comayagua and La Paz participated in a Subject matter Exchange with Joint Security Forces personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo, stationed at Soto Cano Air Base in Palmerola, Comayagua.These exchanges were provided in both La Paz and Comayagua,
