Partnership and camaraderie, the key to fighting fires in Central America

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Thirty four firefighters from all across Central America came together here, from April 24 – 28, to participate in the Central America Sharing Mutual Operational Knowledge and Experiences exercise, also known as CENTAM SMOKE, and train in firefighting techniques with their U.S. counterparts from Joint Task Force-Bravo’s 612th Air Base Squadron Fire Department.

More than 190 members of Joint Task Force-Bravo hiked approximately 3.6 miles round-trip to the village of San Jerónimo, Comayagua, Honduras, Apr. 29, 2017. Members carried more than 5025 lbs of food and supplies, 24 soccer balls and 3 piñatas to the people of San Jerónimo. Chapel hikes have been occurring since 2003, with the JTF-Bravo Chapel sponsoring an average of six every year. The hikes are designed to provide a practical way for JTF-Bravo members to engage and partner with local communities to provide support to surrounding villages in need of food and supplies. JTF-Bravo hikes over 5000 pounds of food and supplies to San Jerónimo, Comayagua, Honduras

MEDRETE and MPE missions support medical care in Honduras

COLÓN, Honduras — Thirty-four personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Medical Element, along with Joint Security Forces (JSF) and Joint Support Battalion (JSB), participated in a two-day Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE) and a Military Partnership Engagement with the Honduran Armed Forces April 20-22, providing basic medical care for more than 1,500 patients.

La Paz, Comayagua Police force receives training

COMAYAGUA, Honduras — To further strengthen the knowledge of the local police forces, 115 members of the National Police force Comayagua and La Paz participated in a Subject matter Exchange with Joint Security Forces personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo, stationed at Soto Cano Air Base in Palmerola, Comayagua.These exchanges were provided in both La Paz and Comayagua,

Personnel from the Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element worked side by side with local nurses and physicians, as well as Nicaraguan soldiers to provide the population with immunizations, preventive medicine, dental services, basic medical care and pharmacy services during the three day exercise.

Joint Task Force Bravo conducts medical exercise, builds partnerships in Nicaragua

WASPAM, Nicaragua — Approximately 40 personnel from Joint Task Force – Bravo participated in a Medical Readiness Training Exercise here March 28-31 in support of the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health area representatives.
