SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Col. James Wiese, JTF-Bravo commander, & Command Sgt. Maj. Nicholas Ford, JTF-Bravo senior enlisted leader, met with members of the 612th Air Base Squadron, 1-228th Aviation Regiment, the task force's J-Staff & ARFOR between Nov. 9 and 17, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.

This exercise validate assigned and tenant units' abilities to respond to crises on base and off base quicky and effectively.

JTF-Bravo showcases MASCAL Expertise

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Joint Task Force-Bravo Soldiers, Airmen and Marines participated in a Mass Casualty exercise that validated the team's ability to track respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies on base and off base, Nov. 16, 2023.

The training further built confidence between the maintainers and aviators supporting U.S. Southern Command, and highlights one of JTF-Bravo's means of aerial recovery of inoperative and lightly and heavily damaged helicopters using medium-lift and heavy-lift helicopters as the recovery vehicles.

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment leaders hosted a leadership symposium for Fuerza Aérea Hondureña leaders at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Nov. 3, 2023.

JTF-Bravo, ASA meet with Community Leaders

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Col. James Wiese, JTF-Bravo commander, Command Sgt. Maj. Nicholas C. Ford, JTF-Bravo senior enlisted advisor, Army Support Activity'sCol. Paul Witkowski and Alpha Company, 436th Civil Affairs Battalion met with community leaders and elected officials from across Comayagua and La Paz Oct. 27-27, 2023.

JTF-Bravo Engineers test eBee TAC Survey Drone

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Joint Task Force-Bravo J-7 Engineers hosted a eBee Tactical Survey Drone training event in Humuya, Honduras, Oct. 24, 2023. This training highlighted the vehicle's capabilities and limitations in a humanitarian aid or disaster response.

This training reinforced the company's ability to provide humanitarian aid and disaster relief response efforts in a water-based scenario.

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — U.S. Army soldiers assigned to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, conducted overwater hoist and water rescue operations training at Yojoa Lake, Honduras, Oct. 12, 2023. This training reinforced the company's ability to provide humanitarian aid and disaster relief response efforts in a water-based scenario.

JTF-Bravo excels in multinational HA/DR exercise

PANAMA CITY, Panama — From earthquakes and volcanic activity to forest fires and tropical storms, the variety of natural disaster threats Central America faces constantly is endless.

Throughout the week-long exercise, the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment delivered more than 399,000 lbs. of building materials to remote locations and the MEDEL administered care to more than 1,200 patients.
