Team of four JTF-Bravo helos surpass 170,000 pounds

Air Force weatherman provides vital info for JTF-Bravo pilots

SAN DIEGO, El Salvador -- Curious Salvadoran children follow a medical assesment team around Nov. 13. Guillermo Saenz, Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element liaison officer, lead the medical assessment team to several villages affected by the Nov. 8 mudslides in order to determine whether it would be affective to perform a medical readiness and training exercise, or MEDRETE. JTF-Bravo distributes 61,000 pounds of supplies, starts medical and engineering assessments

ILOPANGO, El Salvador -- A Salvadoran air force member directs a Joint Task Force-Bravo UH-60 Blackhawk, based out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, to land in order for volunteers to upload food onto it Nov. 12 here. The JTF-Bravo members helped distribute more than 21,000 pounds of food, water, clothing and other hygiene products to villages of El Salvador that have been cut off by mudslides. The towns most affected by the Nov. 8 flooding were Verapaz, Guadalupe, Santa Maria Ostumas and San Vicente. SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras – More than 100 bags filled with vegetable oil, ketchup, pasta, a couple cans of sardines and bags of sugar, rice, flour and beans lay waiting for volunteers Oct. 31 in the chapel's activity room, the Crossroads. Eighty-one volunteers from Joint Task Force-Bravo hiked more than five miles up and down a rocky, mountain road Oct. 31 just outside of Comayagua, Honduras to deliver food to a remote village.
