CENTAM SMOKE fans flames of camaraderie

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — The 612th Air Base Squadron's fire department held the Central America Sharing Mutual Operational Knowledge and Experiences exercise here Aug. 23- 26.Now in its fifth year, the firefighter training session allowed U.S. military firefighters to train and work alongside partner nation firefighters from Honduras and, for the first time, Guatemala.

Medics hit Mosquito Coast for MEDCAP

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — The Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element recently completed a medical civic action program mission in the La Mosquitia region of Honduras, which began Aug. 8 and ended Aug. 14.After weeks of preparation and planning, the MEDEL team was able to treat 1,831 patients for various ailments and injuries, from headaches to a two-year-old snake bite

Two JTF-B Soldiers killed in vehicle accident

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Two Soldiers from Joint Task Force-Bravo were killed at approximately 2:30 p.m. July 31 when their car ran off highway CA-5, between Siguatepeque and Comayagua, and struck a tree.
