JTF-Bravo conducts Global Health Engagement in Colombia

Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-Bravo), a U.S. Southern Command (U.S. SOUTHCOM) unit, will conduct a Global Health Engagement in San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, Colombia, July 12-16 in conjunction with the Colombian Ministry of Health and the Colombian military.

JTF-Bravo conducts interoperability training with Costa Rican partners

The U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-B), Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, deployed three UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter aircrews to provide aviation support for the Costa Rican Police Forces during various training exercises with Special Operations Command South, June 10-16.

Honduran Air Force, US Army partner for first-ever online MEDEVAC training course

Twenty members of the Honduran Air Force graduated from a Basic Aeromedical Evacuation training course provided by Joint Task Force- Bravo, June 19. The three-week academic training course included the participation of 13 nurses and seven doctors stationed at different Honduran Air Force bases, who connected with their JTF-Bravo counterpart from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment through video chat.

Exercise Mercury prepares Panamanian and U.S. forces for disaster response

Joint Task Force-Bravo service members and Panamanian forces joined for an emergency response and humanitarian assistance exercise in the Darien Province, Panama, December 3-10 to hone expeditionary and readiness capabilities during a combined, joint exercise called Mercury. Amid dense jungle and remote field conditions, more than 100 U.S. participants worked alongside their Panamanian hosts to respond to a simulated flooding disaster following a hurricane – a wholly believable scenario for the region.

JTFB, Ministry of Health partner to bring medical care to Cortés

Twenty-two U.S. military service members assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo worked alongside Honduran military and relief organizations to conduct a medical readiness training exercise in the department of Cortes, Honduras, Nov. 5-7, treating more than 800 patients.
