Junior maintainers lead ribbon cutting for Joint Task Force-Bravo and U.S. Southern Command’s $44M hangar

Preston Ring, 1-228 Aviation Regiment stand with junior maintainers of the UH-60 Blackhawk and CH-47 Chinook to cut the ribbon during the hangar dedication ceremony on April 30, 2025, Soto Cano AB, Honduras. After over 15 years of planning and construction, the $44 million dollar hangar will provide ample space for operations, maintenance and administrative actions under a hardened facility. The 1-228th Aviation Regiment is the primary component used by Joint Task Force-Bravo and U.S. Southern Command, responding to Humanitarian and Disaster relief efforts in the region, which aids in regional and U.S. security.(US Air Force photo by SSgt Sadie Colbert)
