Joint Security Forces shares life saving techniques with local forces
Joint Security Forces and local police forces participate in Subject Matter Expert Exchange to practice life saving techniques for emergency situations. The exchange included practices on how to protect burns and open wounds, applying tourniquets, stabilizing fractures, basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation on children and adults, and how to improvise stretchers. During the class, the local forces were able to watch instructional videos, received guidance from JSF and also practiced with different scenarios where they would have to respond to different situations. JSF is composed of U.S. Army personnel from the Puerto Rico National Guard and conducts Law Enforcement and Security Operations for Joint Task Force-Bravo personnel and equipment anywhere within the Central American area of operations.
