A UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo’s 1st Aviation Regiment, 228th Battalion from Soto Cano Air Base, Republic of Honduras, is secured at Panama Pacifico, Panama, as thunderstorms approach Sept. 21, 2016. The 1-228th “Winged Warriors” provided airlift and medical evacuation support for UNITAS 16, a combined exercise hosted by Panama, that is designed to train U.S. and partner nation navies and public security forces to conduct joint naval operations, through the execution of littoral warfare, anti-piracy, maritime interdiction operations, countering transnational organized crime, anti-surface warfare, electronic warfare, communications exercises and air operations in order to increase interoperability and capability between participating naval forces.
