Hoist Training over Lake Yojoa
A medic from the 1-228th Aviation Battalion climbs in to a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter after being lowered to retrieve a rescue mannequin in Lake Yojoa, Honduras, Dec. 18, 2014. The 1-228th AVN BN spent the afternoon practicing overwater hoist training. The overwater hoist training was held to ensure members of Joint Task Force-Bravo are planning and preparing for crisis and contingency response as part of U.S. Southern Command’s mission. Contingency planning prepares the command for various scenarios that pose the greatest probability of challenging our regional partners or threatening our national interests.
