Staff Sgt. Timothy Byrnes, Army Forces air drop supervisor, uses a reach pendant to connect the more than 800 pound water buffalo to the cargo hook of a Utility Helicopter- 60  belonging to 1-228 Aviation Battlion during a two-day training Sling Load Operations Training Exercise, Aug 7-8, 2013.  The exercise provided training for both air and ground crew as service members were taught how to properly secure slings to load and learned to hook-up items to either a UH-60 or Chinook-47 helicopter.
