JTF Bravo medical relief a dream come true for remote Costa Rican villagers
ALTO DE CARONA, Costa Rica - A Blackhawk helicopter flies over stormy skies here Sept. 27, to support medical operations in Alto De Carona and La Pena, Costa Rica. While weather hampered some flight operations during the three-day operation, Joint Task Force-Bravo servicemembers were successful in providing airlift support to a region that takes 12-14 hours by horse to reach. The airlift allowed medical professionals from JTF-Bravo and Costa Rica to deliver needed medical supplies and personnel to the sites. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Joel Mease)
