SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Some children watch as firefighters from Soto Cano Air Base give them a demonstration of how their fire trucks can spray water Oct. 6 at the Joint Task Force-Bravo fire department. About 175 children from different schools in La Paz and Comayagua traveled to base to learn some important lessons about fire prevention. The children got to tour the fire house, watch several demonstrations on how firefighters fight fires and they got to meet “Sparky the fire dog.” Every year during the week of Oct. 8 fire stations around the country reach out to the community to remind families of the importance of fire prevention (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
