SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Tech Sgt. Mike Cain, Joint Task Force-Bravo firefighter, hands out candy to some children during the fire department’s fire prevention week “kid’s day” here Oct. 6. About 175 children from different schools in La Paz and Comayagua traveled to base to learn some important lessons about fire prevention. The children got to tour the fire house, watch several demonstrations on how firefighters fight fires and they got to meet “Sparky the fire dog.” Every year during the week of Oct. 8 fire stations around the country reach out to the community to remind families of the importance of fire prevention (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
