SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Army Dr. (Col.) David Cancelada, mobile surgical team commander, stiches up a patient's chest after a minor operation during an exercise here Dec. 10. The team performed five minor surgeries removing "lumps and bumps" to add some realism to the exercise. The team itself is 100 percent mobile with a two-hour activation response time, and it can function alone for up to 72 hours.
