Matherne assumes command of the 612th Air Base Squadron, at Soto Cano Air Base, Republic of Honduras by accepting the guidon from Air Force Col. Jonathan VanNoord, the 612th Theater Operations Group commander, during the change of command ceremony here June 7. Matherne assumed command from Air Force Lt. Col. Robert J. Pedersen.
