JTF-Bravo deploys SSAT to Belize for AGILE BEAR 25

BELIZE CITY, Belize — Joint Task Force-Bravo service members forward deployed to stand up a U.S. Southern Command Situational Assessment Team (SSAT) in support of AGILE BEAR 25, at Belize City, Belize, July 31, 2025. Exercises like AGILE BEAR increase our shared readiness to respond to natural disasters and security challenges through multifaceted capabilities ensuring our strength through unity and solidifying U.S. Southern Command’s, JTF-Bravo, as the partner of choice in Central America.

U.S. Army Sgt. Alicia Baum, 1st Battalion 228th Aviation Regiment flight paramedic, analyzes the condition of a simulated aircraft casualty during a search and rescue exercise, May 21, 2019, in Comayagua, Honduras. SOTO CANO AIR BASE, HONDURAS — The air hangs quiet and humid over a jungle landscape glowing only by the light of stars and fireflies that decorate the scene; the night would be like any other in the small country of Belize, except for the distant lights of U.S. Army helicopters and their M-240H Machine Guns.
