LA PAZ, Honduras –
U.S. Army medical personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo joined forces with Honduran organizations to provide essential healthcare to 261 people in La Paz, Honduras, March 12, 2025.
This collaborative effort brought together 31 members from the JTF-Bravo Army Forces Battalion medical detachment and 50 Honduran professionals from various organizations which included representatives from the Honduran Military, COPECO, the Honduran Red Cross, and the Ministry of Health.
The team worked side-by-side to offer a wide range of services. Patients received health assessments, dental care, pharmacy consultations, and more.
"It has been an honor to play a role in planning and executing these medical missions," said U.S. Army Capt. Ace Mulliner, Deputy Command Surgeon for JTF-Bravo. "I get to see firsthand the impact it has on the local communities who are in need but also how our medical professionals work hand in hand with local medical professionals from Honduran Air Force, Ministry of Health, Red Cross and COPECO. Caring for a community takes teamwork, and I am grateful to our Honduran partners for welcoming JTF-B as part of theirs."
The exercise served as a valuable opportunity for JTF-Bravo personnel, allowing them to hone their skills in a real-world environment while gaining invaluable experience collaborating with their Honduran counterparts. Ultimately, this exchange of knowledge and expertise is crucial for enhancing interoperability.
These medical missions have become a hallmark of JTF-Bravo's enduring legacy in the region, demonstrating their unwavering dedication to building a stronger and more resilient Honduras and Central America.
