OLANCHITO, Honduras –
The JTF-Bravo civil affairs team to Honduras facilitated the inauguration of a kindergarten in Olanchito, Yoro, Honduras, donated through the Humanitarian Assistance Program of the United States Southern Command, Nov. 13, 2024.
This ceremony celebrated the completion of a much needed resource for the local community and represents the U.S.'s commitment to addressing educational needs for the people of Honduras.
The ceremony was attended by Army Forces Battalion commander, Lt. Col. Carl Schreier, Mayor Juan Carlos Molina of Olanchito, and more than 1300 other attendees.
While there, U.S. military and community leaders discussed future community needs including a water reservoir and purification system.
These kinds of ongoing missions are a hallmark of JTF-Bravo's four-decade long presence in the region and the promise of friendship, partnership, and solidarity.
