SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras –
Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo's Army Forces Battalion conducted small arms weapons qualification at the firing range here, Jan. 29, 2014. The training was conducted in order out allow servicemembers to qualify on their individually assigned weapons. During the range qualification, servicemembers fired M16 and M4 rifles as well as the M9 pistol.
"Staying up to date with weapons qualifications is very important," said U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Thinh Huynh, ARFOR Command Sergeant Major. "It allows us to zero our weapons so we can be combat ready to support Joint Task Force-Bravo in case of any emergencies, as well as fulfills our bi-annual qualification requirement for the Army."
During the training, 19 members of ARFOR qualified with the M9 pistol and an additional 10 qualified with the M16 rifle.
