Colonel Dave Webb graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2003 with a major in Leadership and Management and a minor in Systems Engineering, and he was commissioned as an Infantry Officer. He also graduated from the Infantry Officer Basic Course in 2003 and the Maneuver Captain's Career Course in 2008, and he earned a master's degree in International Policy from Stanford University in 2015 and a master's degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2026.
Colonel Webb’s command and leadership assignments include: Platoon Leader in the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment; Platoon Leader in the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; Company Commander in the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment; Company Commander in the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; Commander of the 2nd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment; and Commander of the Special Troops Battalion in the 75th Ranger Regiment.
His staff positions include: Assistant Operations Officer in the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division; Training Officer in the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; Downing Scholar at Stanford University; Executive Officer for the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment; Operations Officer for the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division; Aide-de-Camp to the Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command; and Operations Officer for the 82nd Airborne Division.
Colonel Webb has deployed ten times in support of combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he has also deployed to Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East in support of national objectives, partners, and allies.
His personal awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Master Combat Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Military Freefall Badge, and Ranger Tab.
Colonel Webb and his wife, Tanya have one daughter and two sons.
