A firefighter from El Salvador tries on a breathing mask during the self-contained breathing apparatus orientation given by the 612th Air Base Squadron firefighters during El Salvador’s Autonomous Executive Port Commission airport firefighter live-fires on Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Dec. 3, 2014. The 612th ABS firefighters facilitated El Salvador’s Executive Port Commission airport firefighter qualification by providing live-fires. The Salvadoran airport firefighters have a requirement very similar to the United States standards that requires members of their airport fire departments to be qualified annually on their ability to control a live-fire.
