SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras -- Honduran military and Joint Task Force-Bravo officers came together to celebrate a day of joint partnership and friendly competition at the bi-annual Camaraderie Day event here, April 26.

The day of events included team sports from each respected armed forces to include a triathlon, soccer, volleyball among others.

"It is very important for us to pause and have a good sporting event, with our counterparts and comrades we work with. We appreciate the opportunity to work with the senior members of Estado Mayor Conjunto, the Joint Staff, because it's something that improves our overall relationship" said Colonel Guy Lemire, Commander of Joint Task Force-Bravo.

Throughout the competitions, male and female officers managed to get past the language barrier and competed at the best of their abilities. Despite the valiant effort of the U.S military team the Honduran armed forces took home the trophy.

"Having taken the time to relax and participate in these camaraderie activities has definitely strengthened our relationship and it's an honor to be able to come together as armed forces and as partner nations," said Division General Rene Arnoldo Osorio Canales, Chief of Staffs of the Armed Forces.
