SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras – Volunteers gather together on a mountain road near Comayagua, Honduras Oct. 31 for a monthly chapel hike. Eighty-one volunteers from Joint Task Force-Bravo hiked more than five miles up and down a rocky, mountain road just outside of Comayagua, Honduras to deliver food to a remote village. The volunteers carried a total of 122 bags of food, equaling 2,684 pounds. SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — A group of 24 Honduran firefighters practice loading, unloading and arm signals during the litter training Oct. 7 at the base flightline. The JTF-Bravo firefighters and 228th Aviations Regiment worked with the Honduran firefighters to bring them up to speed on different aircraft procedures used here in case the firefighters ever have to work together in the local community. Clive Chipman, JTF-Bravo firefighter, gives s group of Honduran firefighters some last-minute instructions before they enter a building filled with smoke Oct. 6 at the Soto Cano burn house. The JTF-Bravo firefighters used a smoke machine to simulate a building that was on fire while they watched how the Hondurans performed searching for victims and ventilating the smoke out of the burn house.
