- To act as the Combatant Commander's agent to promote multinational cooperation in the Joint Operations Area

- Positive interaction through combined exercises, conferences and operations

- To be the supporting command in the region for the U.S. Embassy's Military Group commanders

- Assist humanitarian and civic assistance planning and execution

- Provide disaster relief, search and rescue, medevac support, and assistance for interagency counterdrug operations

- Interagency support and media coverage to demonstrate U.S. commitment to region

- To provide strategic flexibility for U.S. Southern Command regional engagement

Orphanage Support

tabCommunity Programs 
Joint Task Force-Bravo works closely with government and non-government organizations within Central America and the United States.

Joint Task Force-Bravo Programs:

Excess Property Program
Donates office and school furniture, computers, hardware and medical equipment to various governmental, military, local institutions, orphanages and non-profit organizations in Honduras. JTF-Bravo donated more than $160,000 worth of excess materials FY09.

Monthly "Chapel Hike"
In complete cooperation with local and international organizations, JTF-Bravo delivers food supplies to impoverished rural communities in Honduras.

Local Orphanages Support
JTF-Bravo military units at Soto Cano sponsor six orphanages in the local area. The servicemembers visit the orphanages to provide goods and to interact with the children.

Denton Program Support
Humanitarian Air Transportation Aid for non-profit organizations and institutions in Central America.

Partnerships:

Give a kid a Backpack Foundation
In a partnership with the Give a Kid a Backpack Foundation, a Florida-based non-profit organization, JTF-Bravo assisted with the distribution of 1,000 backpacks to various schools and kindergarten children of rural areas of La Paz, Comayagua and Intibuca.
