SAN FERNANDO, El Salvador — Aurelia Lopez, 87, receives medicine from a Salvadoran soldier after seeing an American doctor in the medical readiness and training exercise here Aug. 26. Ms. Lopez walked two hours round-trip to the medical exercise, where she received medical care for the first time in 40 years. A team of personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo, the Salvadoran military and the Salvadoran Ministry of Health worked together during the two-day medical exercise to provide free medical care to more than 900 patients (U.S. Air Force photo/1st Lt.
