U.S. Defense Department Partners with Belizean Surgeons for Medical Missions in Belize

Belmopan — A U.S. military surgical team with United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Joint Task Force (JTF)-Bravo based out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, will conduct a humanitarian surgical mission in Dangriga and Belmopan from August 15-27. This joint effort by U.S. Armed Forces medical professionals and the Belizean government is part of SOUTHCOM’s Global Health Engagements initiative.

Strengthening partnerships before the storm

San Salvador, El Salvador — U.S. military and civilian personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-Bravo), a unit under the U.S. Southern Command (U.S. SOUTHCOM) based out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, the U.S. Agency for International Development Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA), integrated efforts with the Salvadoran Armed Forces and Civil Protection System during Sentinel Watch, a combined training exercise to build disaster response readiness, 27-28 July.

1-228th Aviation Regiment and U.S. Navy build Central American support capability

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — U.S. Army pilots and crew assigned to the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment (1-228), Joint Task Force-Bravo completed deck landing qualifications with the Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Billings (LCS 15) off the coast of El Salvador, July 15 and 16, 2022.

Sentinel Watch prepares Guatemala and U.S. military for regional disasters
