During the October 2015 rendition of the drug eradication mission, Operation CARACOL, U.S. and Belizean forces worked together to accomplish medical evacuation and rope training and eradication missions to enhance the capabilities of the Belizean forces. The mission was an important highlight during U.S. Navy Adm. Kurt W. Tidd, U.S. Southern Command commander’s Jan. 22, 2016 visit to Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, giving him real world examples of the partnerships Joint Task Force-Bravo builds in the Central American region to further build security and cooperation in the area.
