SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras – A 612th Air Base Squadron air traffic controller explains the importance of the U.S.’s only all-weather, C-5 Galaxy-capable strategic airfield in Central America to Congressman Austin Scott, representing Georgia’s 8th District, during a bi-partisan congressional delegation visit from the House Armed Services Committee May 4, 2015, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. Other tour exhibits included a simulated deployed medical environment, a description of the capabilities of the CH-47 Chinook and HH-60 Blackhawk, and a Joint Security Forces working dog demonstration–all showing Joint Task Force – Bravo’s ability to support the broader U.S. and partner nation stabilization efforts in Central America.
